I don't use the feature and it appears turned off for me. It looks like Steam has added support to allow any controller to be a Steam Controller. Perhaps it's a driver issue causing a steam issue which is causing issues in certain games? Perhaps this is an issue with Steam? It's difficult to say because I keep Steam up-to-date and this issue didn't appear until after I updated Windows 10 to the Creators Update. It still does not work when run via Steam, though. I closed down Steam and ran StellarInterface.exe directly. ImaginationOverflow, I just tried something that allowed the controller to work: I ran the game outside of Steam.
